Former Director of Defence Media Operations, Major General Bernard Onyeuko, is dead,
Onyeuko, who was one of the Generals asked to resign recently following the appointment of new service chiefs by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu died on Saturday morning after he suddenly took ill.
A new website PRNigeria reported that the Onyeuko complained of cold on Saturday morning and was was taken to a private hospital where he passed on.
The website also quoted a friend of the late General as confirming that he was hale and hearty on Friday, but fell ill on Saturday morning.
He died few hours later.
Onyeuko was posted to Defence Headquarters Department of Logistics after he was replaced as the spokesperson
He was and appointed Director Procurement at the Defence Headquarters
He was promoted Major General in December, 2022.
