The Zamfara State Police Command has killed two suspected gunrunners allegedly specialised in supplying weapons to terrorists.
The suspects were intercepted along the Gumi-Anka Road of the state while allegedly attempting to transport weapons from Taraba to Zamfara.
A Zamfara-based journalist, Abdul Balarabe, shared the information via his Twitter handle with pictures showing the corpses of the suspects.
When contacted, the Zamfara Police Spokesperson, Muhammed Shehu, told newsmen that the incident occurred but was yet to give details.
“The incident happened, but give us more time to put out a statement to tell what really transpired. Please, don’t believe everything on the social media,” he told newsmen.
