Must Read

Top singers, Ayodeji Balogun, aka Wizkid; David Adeleke, aka Davido; and Damini Ogulu, aka Burna Boy, are taking their love for luxury to the next level by engraving memories on expensive diamond pieces. These pieces are not only a symbol of their wealth, but also serve as ways of paying tribute to their loved ones, and business investments.

During the week, Burna Boy was seen flaunting a diamond ring allegedly worth $2m. The ring, which was made by European jewellery brand− A Jewelers− was made with top colour/clarity pear and oval-shaped diamonds.

Earlier in June, after his performance at the final of the UEFA Champions League in Ataturk Stadium, Turkey, the singer wore a diamond necklace inscribed with the name, ‘Gambo’ and a face. The ‘Last Last’ singer noted that the pendant was in memory of his late friend, Gabriel Serenkuma aka Gambo.

Meanwhile, Davido got the Internet buzzing on August 15, 2023, after he allegedly splashed N500m on a diamond neckpiece to celebrate the success of his latest album, ‘Timeless’.

The exclusive neckpiece was designed by a London jewelry brand, Local Kettle Brothers. On the pendant of the neckpiece was a moving hourglass, containing diamond dust. The chain was said to have been made with hand-picked diamonds.

In an Instagram post by the jewelry brand, it was revealed that the chain was an embodiment of Davido’s unique style, while the ‘Timeless’ pendant was a symbol of inspiration, creativity and enduring beauty.

In a similar vein, Wizkid recently spent millions of naira acquiring some luxurious diamond necklaces. In an interview with Adesope Olajide, the singer could be seen rocking a diamond piece he made in collaboration with US jeweller, Eliantte.

The ‘Essence’ singer stated that he has plans to launch a jewellery brand soon. He said, “This is the first piece I designed myself, and it is the first of six pieces that I am making this year. I am here to start up my jewellery line.”
