What Tinubu needs to tackle Nigeria’s problems

A chieftain of the Young Progressives Party, Buraimoh Peter, on Tuesday, advised the new President of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu to collaborate with aggrieved political parties and groups in other to tackle the problems bedevilling Nigeria.

Buraimoh, in a press statement obtained by our correspondent in Abuja, also called on Nigerians to collaborate with Tinubu.

The PUNCH reports that Tinubu, 71, of the All Progressives Congress was on Monday, May 29, 2023, sworn in as the fifth democratically elected president of Nigeria since the country’s return to democracy in 1999.

Buraimoh, however, in a statement also expressed optimism that Tinubu would replicate “his notable achievements in Lagos in Nigeria at large.”

“The President needs to work with all aggrieved politicians and groups in other to tackle the myriad of problems facing Nigeria and the citizens. I am particularly optimistic that he will replicate his achievements as a former governor of Lagos state in Nigeria at large.

“Nigeria has changed, change has come. On the 29th of May, we experienced change, and it will be a permanent change. The transformation that has occurred in Lagos will be replicated,” he said.
