TrustArthur appoints new board members

A non-interest asset management company, TrustArthur, has announced the appointment of non-executive directors, independent directors, and executive directors to its board.

In a statement, the firm stated that the non-executive directors comprised the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Oba Gbolahan Lawal, Abisogun II, the 15th Oniru of Iruland.

“His Royal Highness is an experienced policymaker. Before his enthronement, he had gathered professional expertise from service to the state at different stages of his career,” it said.

Also, Folake Oshodi was named the director of International Business. She is an expert in Islamic finance contracts, with 11 years of work experience in commercial law and civil litigation; while Abdur-Rasheed Babalola was appointed the director of TrustArthur. He is a financial inclusion professional with over 22 years of experience in insurance and takaful.

It further stated that the independent directors of the company include Abubakar Sule, who has over 33 years of work experience in banking and was the former Chief Executive Officer of Keystone Bank and Executive Director at Sterling Bank and Mr Abiodun Aderoju, who has over 27 years of professional banking experience covering auditing, accounting, and banking.

The new executive directors include Basheer Oshodi who is the chief executive of TrustArthur and Usman Balogun.

While Oshodi has over 23 years of work experience in banking, having set up a non-interest banking window at Stanbic IBTC Bank and Sterling Bank, Balogun has over 14 years of work experience in the financial services industry covering products, retail, research, and non-interest banking.
