Tribunal dismisses Ganduje’s son’s petition

The National and State House of Assembly Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Kano, on Tuesday, dismissed the petition filed by Muhammad Umar Abdullahi Ganduje of the All Progressives Congress, challenging the victory of Tijjani Abdulkadir Jobe of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, for the Rimin Gado/Dawakin Tofa/ Tofa/ Federal House of Representatives Election held on March 25, 2023.

While the three-man Panel of Judges, dismissed the petition for lack of merit, they, however, averred that the petitioner failed to present sufficient evidence to support the allegation during the conduct of the elections

To this extent, the Tribunal awarded the fine of N200,000 against the petitioner to be paid to the respondents individually.
