Nigerian international, Taiwo Awoniyi was on target on Saturday as his club, Nottingham Forest crumbled to 2-3 defeat to Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Forest were two goals up at Old Trafford four minutes into the game, but United fought back to score three goals before the end of duration.

Awoniyi scored his third goal of the season in just two minutes into the game. Awoniyi got in a good position after an exceptional individual run and released a powerful shot that flew precisely into the bottom left corner.

Two minutes later, Willy Boly got to the ball inside the penalty area and produced a bullet header towards the goal. He aimed his effort nicely into the top right corner, leaving Andre Onana helpless, giving the visitors a shocking 0-2 lead.

United reduced the tally on 17 minutes. Christian Eriksen took a short pass from Marcus Rashford in his stride in the box, jinks inside his man and unleashed an unstoppable shot inside the right post.

United equalised on 52 minutes after Bruno Fernandes managed to prod the ball to Casemiro after a melee inside the box, and he needed no second invitation to slot the ball into the bottom left corner.

The homers were awarded a penalty on  76 minutes. Bruno Fernandes put the ball into the bottom left corner past the outstretched arm of Matt Turner to make it 3-2 for United.
