Idris, in a communique on Tuesday by the Deputy Director, Press Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation, Suleiman Haruna, said this during a courtesy visit by the Governor of Niger State, Mohammed Umar Bago.

He disclosed that the Federal Government had provided assorted grain-based palliatives, supplementing the special financial assistance allocated to the states.

“The Federal Government has shared palliatives in the form of assorted grains to complement the special financial intervention that has been distributed to the states,” he said.

He commended the states for their commitment to efficiently distributing these relief materials, expressing optimism for the continuity of such cooperation.

Bago, leading a  delegation from Niger State, conveyed felicitations to the minister on his appointment.

He also expressed gratitude to Tinubu for selecting an accomplished professional to represent Nigeria.

He urged Idris to uphold the confidence reposed in him and collaborate with the state in advancing its vision.
