The Super Falcons of Nigeria have broken a 16-year-old jinx as they qualified for this year’s Olympics Women football after holding the Banyana Banyana of South Africa to a goalless draw in Pretoria.
The Falcons had won the first leg in Abuja, Nigeria by a lone goal.
The Super Falcons have not played in Olympics football event since 2008, but they put up a strong performance in Pretoria on Tuesday to qualify for the 2024 Olympics in Paris, France.

In the 86th minute, Nigerian goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie was at her best yet again to deny the South Africans a clear chance to score.
With the match ending 0-0 after 90 minutes, the Falcons celebrated their qualification for the Olympics and denied the South Africans.
The Nigerian side will play in Group C along with Spain, Japan and Brazil.
