A budding singer, Sugarcane, has said he recently hosted a show tagged, ‘Show-Town Finest Reloaded’, in the Oshodi area of Lagos State, to appreciate people of the community.
In a statement sent to he said, “There are a lot of reasons I chose to host the event where I did, and one of them was to say ‘thank you’ and give back to the people of that amazing community. The event started from that area, and I want to keep it that way.
“Hosting the event was an opportunity for me to give people an avenue to freely express themselves. There are a lot of talented youths in that community, and I always like to give them platforms to showcase themselves.
“The show is also served as an avenue to bring past and present inhabitants together, like a form of reunion.”
The event featured entertainers such as Adex of Artquake, Kozy General, Mr Dove, MC Lagos Boi, and DJ Bliss.
Also speaking at the event, Olabanji Adelana, the manager of Squad One Bitters, which has been supporting the show since inception, commended the artiste for his efforts to bring smiles to the faces of the people in the community.
