Must Read

A Max Air plane conveying Hajj pilgrims from Dutse, Jigawa State capital, on Wednesday evening made an emergency landing at the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport.

The PUNCH learnt that the Boeing 747 aircraft which departed the airport had to discontinue the flight to Saudi Arabia when it was struck by lightning, which affected the noose of the aircraft.

Some of the intending Hajj pilgrims aboard the aircraft, when interviewed, said they were not only scared of the development but disturbed, as majority of them were already thinking otherwise of the situation.

The aircraft, with registration number Max B747-HMM, with 559 passengers onboard, including the 21 crew, are currently at MAKIA.

Our correspondent contacted one of the managers of Max Airline in Kano, Bello Ramadan, who confirmed the development.

He disclosed that the passengers and crew were in the process of being evacuated to another aircraft to continue the fight to the Islamic holy land.
