RCCG names Olulana as Soun’s replacement

The Redeemed Christian Church of God has named Pastor Ayo Olulana as the new Regional Pastor of Region Eight (Washington D.C. and Maryland) to replace the Soun of Ogbomoso, His Imperial Majesty Ghandi Olaoye.

The new regional pastor, who was a provincial pastor in the church, assumed duty in the region, which was formerly led by the new Soun of Ogbomoso in the United States, in September.

This is according to an internal memo signed by the RCCG North America’s Continental Overseer, Pastor James Fadel, and dated September 5, 2023.

Pastor Oluwafiropo Ropo-Tusin was also appointed as Regional Pastor in charge of Special Programmes in RCCG The Americas Continent, according to the statement.

“Pastor Ayoola Oladipo Olulana is appointed as the new Regional Pastor in charge of NAR-8 of RCCG The Americas Continent-1 (DC and Maryland Area) His appointment, regional oversight is effective September 4, 2023.

“Pastor Oluwafiropo Ropo-Tusin is appointed as Regional Pastor in charge of Special Programmes in RCCG The Americas Continent -1. The appointment’s effective date is August 25, 2023.

“We send our congratulations again and pray that the good Lord will guide our Pastors in their new roles and responsibilities,” the statement partly read.

Pastor Olulana, an attorney of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, successfully practised Law for about 12 years in Nigeria before he relocated to the United States in the year 2000.

Along with his Law practice, he was the Pastor of a parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Victory Sanctuary in Akure, Nigeria.

He presently co-pastors the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Higher Ground Assembly, Baltimore, Maryland, with his wife, Pastor Remi Olulana.

Pastor Olulana is a regular feature during the RCCG’s North America Convention.

He is a member of the Board of Coordinators in the Redeemed Christian Church of God, North America.
