maintained their dominance over Doma United after they recorded a hard fought 1-0 win over the Gombe based club in a Nigerian Professional Football League game at the Pantami Stadium on Saturday, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.

The win was Rangers’ first away win of the season.

Collins Ugwueze’s scored the matchwinner in the 30th minute for the visitors which handed Doma United their first home loss of the season after 19 games.

It also extends Rangers unbeaten streak to four against Doma United having won three games and drawn one.

The victory moves the Flying Antelopes to fourth place in the NPFL log with 34 points from 21 games while Doma remain seventh in the standings with 32 points from the same number of games.

In Benin, champions Enyimba International were held to a goalless draw by Bendel Insurance at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium in a keenly contested encounter.

The game saw Ojo Olorunleke return to Enyimba’s starting line with the Super Eagle goalkeeper keeping a clean sheet on his return. The Aba Elephants maintain top spot with 36 points while Insurance occupy eighth spot.

In Ilorin, Michael Ibeh scored a goal of the season contender for Katsina United in their 1-1 draw away at Kwara United.

Ibeh scored from a direct corner to steal a point for the visitors who were reduced to nine-men after Adeshina Gata had shot the Afonja Warriors into the lead before half time. The draw was Kwara United 10th games in the NPFL this season.
