Police arrest Nigerian cops demanding money from Dutch biker

The Oyo State Police Command says its operatives seen demanding money from a citizen of Netherlands, in a viral video, have been arrested.
The female Dutch who was on a tour of Nigeria from the Netherlands, was being harassed for money by some policemen along Moniya-Iseyin Road.
The command, in a post on X , maintained that the personnel would be disciplined.
The post said: “Viral video portraying the regrettable misconduct of certain policemen along Moniya-Iseyin Road has been accessed. All those involved have been apprehended for immediate disciplinary actions. Supervision will be increased. Please report any misconduct to X-Squad on +2348023535470”.
In the 1.26 minutes long video, the operatives were seen querying the lady about her origin and destination. She told then she was from Netherlands and was on her way to Abuja.
The policemen then engaged her in Pidgin English: “Wetin you bring come? Wetin you won give me. O yah give me something nah.”
When it appeared she did not understand what they meant, they resorted to saying: “Give me money, money”. This made the lady query why they were asking her for money.
