Super Eagles coach, Jose Peseiro, on Thursday, announced a 23-man team for the forthcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Zimbabwe.
The match between the Super Eagles is scheduled to hold at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State while the match against Zimbabwe is to be played at Amahoro Stadium, Kigali, Rwanda on November 16 and 19, 2023, respectively.
However, Victor Osimhen, Ahmed Musa, and Samuel Chukwueze did not make the list as they continue to recover from injuries.
The invited players are:
Goalkeepers:
Francis Uzoho, Olorunleke Ojo, and Maduka Okoye
Defenders:
Olaoluwa Aina, Chidozie Awaziem, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Bruno Onyemaechi, Kenneth Omeruo, Oluwasemilogo Ajayi, Calvin Bassey, and Jamilu Collins.
Midfielders:
Raphael Onyedika, Joe Aribo, Frank Onyeka, Alex Iwobi.
Forwards:
