Super Eagles striker Victor Osihmen will be up against Real Madrid as his club Napoli gets Group C paring in the Champions League group stage draw on Thursday.
Oshimen was Serie A’s top scorer with 26 goals and inspired Napoli to their first Scudetto in 33 years last season.
Napoli will face 14-time winner Real Madrid, Sporting Braga of Portugal and German debutants Union Berlin in their Champions league group stage journey.
The draw, co-conducted by Eric Abidal and Joe Cole, Barcelona and Chelsea legends respectively, also threw up a tantalizing match-up between Bayern Munich and Manchester United in Group A. FC Copenhagen and Galatasaray are also drawn in the group.
Manchester City, reigning UCL champions, were handed an easy draw with RB Leipzig, Crvena Zvezda (Red Star Belgrade), and Young Boys all in Group G.
The first set of group stage matches will be played on September 19 and 20.
The 2023 UCL final will be held in Wembley Stadium, London, in June 1
