The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has finalised plans to install Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technology in regional stadiums across the country.
Also, plans to train and re-train Nigerian referees are underway.
Malam Ibrahim Gusau, President of the Federation, stated this on Saturday in Ilorin at the Nigeria Referees Association (NRA) National Elective Delegates Conference.
He was represented by an NFF official, Malam Muhammed Ameenu, at the conference.
Gusau charged the association’s new leadership with developing development plans, forecasting, organising, and ensuring the future of Nigeria Referees is properly nurtured and watered in order for the game to grow.
According to him, the installation of VAR is critical to the growth and development of football.
This, he said, while reiterating the NFF’s unwavering support for the NRA in their quest to change the face of football in the country.
