New Ogun CP Alamutu orders criminals to vacate State

The new Commissioner of Police, Ogun State, Alamutu Abiodun Mustapha on Wednesday advised criminals in the state to relocate from or turn a new leaf.

Alamutu gave the advice while speaking with journalists at the police headquarters in Eleweran as he resumed office.

He state that he is more than ready to flush out criminal hide out and ready to bring any criminal who tries to cause unrest for the people of Ogun state and its environs.

Alamutu pointed out that he had served in different capacities in the force for 30 years, especially in Ogun State when cultism armed robbery and other violent crimes were at its peak, and that he was well acquainted with all the security concerns of the nooks and crannies of the state and had gained valuable insight and prepared to tackle them headlong.

He pledged to tackle the menace of crimes and criminalities headlong and strive to pursue assiduously deploying every resources both human and material at the command’s disposal, including leveraging on the about to be created specialised Quick Intervention Squad, enhance the command intelligence networks for timely intelligence gathering and prompt intervention to ensure proactive to crime situation rather than being reactive.

He also pledged to ensure utmost discipline and decorum among officers and men in the command as well as to the members of the public.

Alamutu, however, assured the people of Ogun State of a peaceful, secured and conducive environment that will enhance and promote enabling environment for social, economic and political development and prosperity.

He promised to strengthen the existing relationship with the state’s Judiciary to ensure that the goal of peace and security of the state was achieved.
