A LASTMA officer, Oladunni Ademola ‘Zebra’ (Zone 1 Sura), who led the rescue team disclosed that the lone accident involved a Toyota Sienna, with registration number MUS 706 EQ.

Ademola, in a statement issued by Adebayo Taofiq, Director, Public Affairs and Enlightenment Department, LASTMA, disclosed that preliminary investigation revealed that the driver was on a top speed and could no longer control the vehicle after noticing the brake failure.

He confirmed that LASTMA officials rescued four victims, which included two male and two female.

According to Ademola, “immediately the accident happened, our officials, with support from police officers from Adeniji Adele Police Command, quickly intervened and rescued the four victims.

“The rescued four accident victims were immediately rushed to General Hospital for medical attention.”

The General Manager, LASTMA, Bolaji Oreagba, however, enjoined motoring public to be extra careful and check that their vehicles were always in good condition before embarking on any journey across the State.
