Lagos Hos seeks harmonious relationship with state assembly

Lagos State Head of Service, Mr. Bode Agoro, on Wednesday, hosted the House Committee Chairman on Establishments and Training, Hon. Oladele Ajayi and Members of the Committee towards strengthening the relationship between the Office of the Head of Service and the Lagos State House of Assembly.

Speaking during the engagement held at the Conference Room, Public Service Office, the Secretariat Alausa-Ikeja, Agoro noted that the main priority of the Office is to ensure adequate welfare and well-being of the entire workforce in the State as the present administration led by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu would not rest on its oars in ensuring that there is adequate welfare for public servants.

He further stressed that the Office of the Head of Service is the engine room of the entire Public Service in the State.

Agoro maintained that, given the diverse needs and responsibilities of the workforce in the State, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has graciously approved the flexible working hours policy, whereby workers on GL 01-14, now work from home for two days a week, while Officers on GL 15-17, work from home for one day in a week.

Speaking further, he said the initiative was designed to promote work-life balance, enhance employee well-being, and improve overall job experience.

The HOS appreciated the Chairman and Members of the Committee for the visits to his office.

In his remark, the Chairman, House Committee on Establishments and Training, Hon. Oladele Ajayi, commended the Head of Service, Mr. Bode Agoro for making the welfare of Public Servants a priority, saying that it is only through such means that Public Servants would be able to discharge their duties effectively and efficiently.

Ajayi sought a continuous harmonious relationship between the Office of the Head of Service and the Lagos State House of Assembly.

The Head of Service was joined by the Permanent Secretary, Public Service Office, Mrs. ‘Sunkanmi Oyegbola and other Management Staff in hosting the delegation.

While those on the entourage of the Chairman include Hon. Femi Saheed, Hon. Tijani Suraj, and Hon. Orekoya Abiodun, Others are Hon. Apata Samuel, Hon. Aro Moshood, Hon. Ogundipe Stephen, Hon. Lawal Musbau, Mr. Tugbobo Ademola and Mr. Sulaimon Afolajimi among others.
