The Gunners opened the scoring early in the match after a cross into the box was headed down by Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz did brilliantly to get to the ball and fired home. Arsenal added a second goal in the 21st minute from superb work from Bukayo Saka, who played a vital role in the build-up. He squared it to Gabriel Jesus, who beat Brice Samba with a brilliant shot into the bottom left corner. Two minutes later, Bukayo Saka was in the right place at the right time to get to the rebound inside the box and gleefully rifled the ball into the right side of the goal to make it 3-0. Midway into the first half, Gabriel Martinelli wove his way past opponents, and he unleashed a magnificent effort from the edge of the box inside the right post for Arsenal’s fourth goal. Arsenal were 5-0 up in first half added time. Takehiro Tomiyasu played the ball to Martin Odegaard, who found himself unmarked inside the box and slotted a first-time shot past Brice Samba into the bottom right corner. Four minutes to the end of the game, Jorginho scored the Gunners’ sixth goal from the penalty spot. He ran up to the ball, stopped and waited for Brice Samba to commit before slotting the penalty into the bottom right corner.
