The DSS have finally confirmed the report on the arrest of suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele.
PM News had reported on Friday night that Emefiele was arrested after his suspension by President Bola Tinubu.
The DSS earlier on Saturday morning denied the report.
However, few hours later, the security agency made a U-turn to confirm PM News report.
The statement from DSS reads: “The Department of State Services (DSS) hereby confirms that Mr Godwin Emefiele, the suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) is now in its custody for some investigative reasons.”
