Diddy faces fresh sexual assault allegations after settlement with ex-girlfriend

Must Read

American hip-hop artiste, Sean “Diddy” Combs has been dragged to court for the second time this month over allegations of sexual assault.

In the filings obtained by TMZ, Joi Dickerson-Neal, the plaintiff in the new suit, alleged that Diddy had drugged and raped her back in 1991 while she was a college student at Syracuse University, New York.

According to Neal, she went on a date with the rapper at a restaurant in Harlem after which he took her to a recording studio. She also claimed he had possibly drugged her meal as she was barely conscious and could not stand by her feet when she tried to get out of his car.

After they left the studio, Neil said Diddy drove her to a house where he sexually assaulted her. She further claimed that the entertainment mogul did not only film the act but also showed it to several people.

The plaintiff filed the suit on Thursday under the New York’s Adult Survivors Act, which provides a one-year window for sexual assault victims to file a civil lawsuit even if the case has exceeded the statute of limitations. The one-year window closes on Friday, 24th of November 2023.

A representative for Diddy has denied the allegations and tagged the suit “a money grab”

“This last-minute lawsuit is an example of how a well-intentioned law can be turned on its head. Ms. Dickerson’s 32-year-old story is made up and not credible. Mr. Combs never assaulted her and she implicates companies that did not exist. This is purely a money grab and nothing more,” the statement read.

This is the second sexual assault case Diddy is facing this month. His ex-girlfriend Cassandra Ventura filed a suit last week, alleging that the musician had physically and sexually abused her throughout their relationship which lasted over a decade.

Diddy initially denied the accusations, but agreed to a settlement barely a day after the suit was filed.
