In commemoration of the 2023 International Human Resources Day on May 20, 2023, the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria has organised a 4-kilometre HR Walk within Alausa Business District to celebrate professionals.
In a statement, the President and Chairman of the Governing Council, Olusegun Mojeed, said the day was to appreciate and celebrate the invaluable contributions of HR professionals in shaping the workforce.
“HR professionals have enhanced employee well-being, driven organisational success, and propelled the HR profession to new heights,” he remarked.
Furthermore, he urged HR practitioners to reflect on the incredible strides they had made in the country and their impact on the lives of employees and organisations.
He added, “Let us also seize this opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to continuous learning, professional development, and staying abreast of evolving global trends and best practices.
“The purpose of the corporate walk was to foster members’ well-being. At the walk, members were provided with free medical checks.”
