Cardiff keen on Ejuke

Must Read

Championship club, Cardiff City, are desperate to sign Nigerian winger Chidera Ejuke on a one-year deal this summer but will need FIFA to agree to the move, reports.

The 25-year-old spent last season on loan with Hertha Berlin, where he made 21 appearances for the Germans.

Cardiff are currently under a transfer embargo, meaning they cannot pay a fee for a player until the January transfer window. Still, The Bluebirds are desperate to bring the former Heerenveen winger to south Wales.

Speaking on the club’s summer targets this summer, Cardiff manager Erol Bulut said, “We are working on it. Of course, it’s not easy because we can do only free transfers. I hope in a short time that we can have some movements in that direction.”

Ejuke has one year left on his current deal with parent club CSKA Moscow.

Should the Bluebirds complete a deal for Ejuke he will become the second Nigerian at the club after Jamilu Collins joined last summer.

Bulut also revealed that the Bluebirds were also tracking striker Ike Ugbo and defender Dimitrios Goutas to bolster their squad ahead of the new season.
