Must Read

Members of the Omo Eko Pataki Forum have mourned the late foremost economist, Bode Agusto, whose death was announced on Thursday.

Agusto died at the age of 68.

In a statement signed by the Chairman, Olabode George, Major-General Tajudeen Olanrewaju(retd.) and Gbadebo Dallas, the socio-cultural group, stated that the demise of the economist was a painful one.

The statement said, “His death was particularly painful because he was just in his late 60s, yet to attain the age of 70. But, who are we to question God Almighty. Bode Agusto was an ‘Omoluabi’ to the core, in content, character and professional calling.

“He was a gift to us in Lagos, especially Lagos Island and the Muslim community. In his sojourn on earth, he showed the traits of a nobleman with a good character.”
