Ten-man Zambia on Sunday held Tanzania to a 1-1 draw at the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote d’Ivoire.
Tanzania shockingly took the lead 11 minutes into the game. Mbwana Samatta provided Simon Msuva with a nice pass inside the box. It allowed him to finish with a precise effort into the top right corner.
In the 31st minute, Fashion Sakala had a great chance. He climbed highest deep in the penalty box and struck a powerful header towards the net.
Things got worse for the Zambians in the 44th minute when Rodrick Kabwe was sent off after a second yellow card for a bad challenge.
Zambia equalised a minute to the end of the duration. Clatous Chama sent the resulting corner into the box and expertly found Patson Daka, who jumped highest and coolly planted a bullet header into the roof of the net to make it 1-1.
