ACF commends CP Gumel for bringing down crime rate in Kano

Kano state chapter of the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has joined other eminent organizations and highly placed individuals in commending and congratulating Kano state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Mohammed Usaini Gumel for bringing down the crime wave in Kano state.
The pan-northern apex forum showered praises on CP Gumel during the presentation of the commendation letter, describing him as a renowned crime-buster whose life has been hallmarked by service to humanity.
ACF particularly hailed CP Gumel for fighting phone-snatching, thuggery and other violent crimes within a space of six months as Kano state Commissioner of Police.
The Chairman of ACF, Kano chapter, Dr. Goni Farouk Umar, who presented the letter of appreciation and commendation to CP Gumel, praised the Kano Chief Sheriff for his strong leadership acumen and outstanding performances, especially, through the display of professionalism, implementation of citizen and intelligence-led policing, which has led to the current peace and sustainable peaceful coexistence the people of Kano state are enjoying.
The commendation letter reads: “We the leadership of Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) wish to express our sincere appreciation and are here to pass commendation for your hard work and dedication through which you brought the peaceful coexistence in Kano State.

“Your life has been hallmarked by service to humanity as you fought against phone snatching, thuggery and many illegal activities within the State through the instrumentality of awareness and sensitization campaigns that rekindle the hope of our people and bring everyone into a better and stronger disposition of ensuring that secured and prosperous Kano State and entire Nigeria at large is in place.
” Please accept the assurance of our highest regard as we are standing by your police command.”
In his remarks after receiving the letter, CP Gumel said: “I want to start by appreciating you for taking the time to acknowledge and commend our effort.
“The reward of good work is more work, we are going to remain committed in our effort to get rid of the State of all forms of crimes and nip them in the bud. We will continue to remain committed to ensuring the security of life and property. Thank you and I wish you a safe return to your destinations.”
