Dr. Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), has condoled Islamic scholar, Sheikh Gumi over his mother’s death.
The former military officer announced the death of his mother on his Facebook handle, saying her death occurred on Sunday evening at about 5.30 pm.
On his verified Twitter page, Obi prayed that God comforts the entire Gumi family.
His signed tweet read, “I send my sincere condolences to Sheikh Gumi, an Islamic scholar and cleric, over the death of his beloved mother.
“I cannot begin to imagine the pains the family are going through at the moment. I pray that God will strengthen you and comfort the entire Gumi family over her irreplaceable loss, and grant her eternal rest.”
