Obi answer to Nigeria’s problem – Delta LP candidate

Must Read

The Delta North senatorial candidate under the platform of the Labour Party, Ken Kanma, has said that the party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, was the answer to numerous problems facing Nigeria, noting that Deltans would vote massively for Obi.

Kanma stated this while kicking off his senatorial campaign in Asaba, the state capital.

He said, “Nigerians have suffered enough, especially in the midst of abundant resources. There is so much insecurity and hardship in Nigeria.

“Peter Obi is the answer to Nigerian problems, and we believe in him considering his antecedent as the governor and how he managed Anambra state funds prudently.

“The primary duty of government is the security and welfare of the people, and the successive government has failed Nigerians, but Peter Obi is the solution to these problems.

“When Obi started talking about the solution to Nigeria’s problems, I saw that it is possible to solve these problems. It is all about commitment and sincerity. He started talking about moving the country from a consumption country to a production country.

“Many of our leaders are not sincere even to themselves. Look at the recent eight months ASSU strike, they were not boarded because their children are in different schools out of Nigeria just to continue to suffer the poor masses bring down our educational standards.”

Kanma who promised good representation, frowned on the abandoned projects across the senatorial district, adding that a good lawmaker should monitor projects from the day it was awarded to ensure proper execution.

He lamented the abandonment of the Ogwashi-Uku dam, bemoaning lawmakers in the district for their failure to ensure the completion of the project.

In his remark, the State Chairman of LP, Chief Tony Eseagwu, said that the party’s candidates from the presidency to Assembly were men who have succeeded in their private and public enterprises.

He said LP chose candidates who have made it in their various endeavors and managed their private businesses successfully.

“They said we don’t share money. It’s because we don’t want to borrow money to fund the campaign. Everybody is contributing to fight this course of liberating Nigeria from the bondage,” he added.
