Upcoming actress, Chioma Ivoke, has recounted how a fan once asked her to step on him. In an encounter with SUNDAY SCOOP, the Ebonyi State born role interpreter said, “I travelled to Ghana for a movie project. In the course of that, many fans came for pictures. A particular fan wanted me to walk across him, for me to step on him. I told him I cannot as it’s weird to me. He kept pleading but I refused.”

Speaking on the sacrifices she had made for her career, Ivoke said, “After my youth service, I got a job in the civil service but my passion for acting made me to give that up in pursuit of my acting career.”

On if she had ever been a victim of sexual harassment in Nollywood, she replied, “The rate of sexual harassment in the entertainment industry is alarming but I am grateful to God I have never been sexually harassed.”

Ivoke, who also stressed that she was not under pressure to get married, advised men not to cheat on their wives. She said, “No matter what is been said, I refused to be pressured into getting married. Definitely, I will (get married) and it will be forever by God’s grace. Also, the saying that ‘men are polygamous by nature’  is just a deceptive saying to encourage them to continue to cheat. Dear men, you can be faithful to your wife if you want to.”
