 Sen. Jarigbe Agom-Jarigbe has commended the votinf proccesses so far within his area, hoping that the democratic right of the people to elect their leaders would prevail at the end of Presidential and National Assembly (NASS) elections.

Speaking to newsmen shortly after casting his vote at unit 005 in Nkum-Rede ward, Ogoja local governemnt area of Cross River state, Jarigbe, repeesenting norhtern senatorial district, lauded the security agencies for the good work they have done in Ogoja and environs from Friday until the time of the Interview.

He said: “I laud the security agencies for the good work they have done in Ogoja and environs from Friday until the time of the Interview.

“So far, there is absolute peace in my polling unit at Nkum Rede ward. No bullying, no intimidation and no harrassment.

“From what i have seen so far, it seems the democratic will of the people is going to prevail and I am happy about it. 

“I implore them to continue what they are doing so that there will be peace and no  bloodshed.”

Meanwhile checks from  Obudu local governement area, home town of  Governor Ben Ayade, reveal that voting is uet ro commence just as Ayade is yet to vote at his Gakum ward.

As at 11:45am, materials are uet to arrive at the polling unit even as voters are said to have nustered there waiting to vote.

An INEC source said INEC officials arw makong frantic efforts to take materials there.

Elections are being conducted in the 3281 polling units across Cross River.
