Hosts Bendel Insurance defeated Enyimba 1-0 in their week nine NPFL clash on Sunday at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City.
The only goal of the top-of-the-table clash was scored in the 29th minute by striker Imade Osehenkhoe which enabled the Benin Arsenal maintain top spot as the league goes on a three-week recess.
After the goal, the People’s Elephant tried hard for the equaliser but their efforts were thwarted by the Insurance defence while the home side also missed several chances to increase the tally.
 The home fans backed their team throughout the game, applauding when Insurance made good moves.
 As the game moved toward regulation time, Enyimba coach, Finidi George, urged his players forward but they could not get the equaliser.
 Insurance, yet to taste defeat in the league, now has 23 points from nine games, while Enyimba has 16 points from the same number of matches.
