The PDP governorship candidate in Lagos, Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran popularly known as Jandor, on Sunday said he will build flyovers in all intersections on Lekki-Epe expressway.
Jandor spoke at ThePlatform governorship debate on Sunday in Lagos.
He said this would help to decongest traffic on the Lekki-Epe Expressway.
“Let’s come to final soluition because you can’t do that in one year. Lekki-Ajah Expressway, solution to that one is every intersection you have, fly them over. We have what it takes to fly them over, if you fly them over, the travel time between Victoria Island and Epe will be smooth. Another one is to build alternative roads in the axis,” he said.
He also said some flashpoints areas in the state did not require infrastructural renewal but just political will.
“Some of these areas of flashpoints do not require infrastructural renewal to start with. It requires government’s will. Let me give you example, if you are travelling from Iyana Ipaja to Egbeda, you will see traffic building up, and that traffic is coming from the intersection between Akowonjo and all that.
“if you move further, when you move down on LASU-Iba road, you will see LAWMA trucks on the road, also causing the bottleneck, if you move down to Igando bus stop, you see the same thing, in that case, for such flashpoints like that, you don’t require infrastructure renewal,” he said.
