I discovered passion for fuji after brother’s demise — Alexis Promotion

Must Read

A music promoter, Bolanle Olatise, aka Alexis Promotion, has said that she discovered her love for fuji music after the demise of her brother, who was a strong fan of a popular fuji musician, Wasiu Ayinde, aka K1 de Ultimate.

Alexis, who now works as a promoter with K1, said, “It is a privilege to be a promoter for K1. Since I started the business with the legend in 2019, the relationship has been so smooth. He is more than just a business partner to me. He is like a daddy and mentor to me.”

Alexis, who is planning a fuji festival in the United Kingdom, noted that fuji musicians from around the world will exhibit their creativity at the event. She said, “This is in the pipeline, and it is going to be massive. I am from Ibadan and you know what that means. We will ensure that the fuji festival is well organised for the world to see the best of Yoruba tradition, and how fuji has grown to become international music.”

Speaking on how she achieves work-life balance, she said, “I have a lot of businesses that keep me busy every day. I only sleep for four hours out of 24 hours, due to my busy schedule. But, I enjoy myself with good music.”

This was even as she added that she does not compromise on standards in business, both in Nigeria and the UK.
