Manchester City midfielder, Ilkay Gundogan has criticized Pep Guardiola’s men for giving the ball away too easily following their Premier League 3-2 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
The first half had ended in a 1-1 draw thanks to goals from Gundogan and Dejan Kulusevski.
But a second-half brace from Harry Kane ensured Antonio Conte’s men defeated Man City.
Riyad Mahrez did score a late penalty in the second half at the Etihad.
But Gundogan believes Man City failed to practice what they preached as they crashed at home to Tottenham.
“I remember us being here before the match saying we need to be careful when we lose the ball,” Gundogan said at his post-match press conference.
“It feels like in all three goals we invited them to score. We gave the ball away far too easily.”
