EPL: Guardiola names one team Man City didn’t deserve to win

Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola has said his side does not deserve to beat Arsenal in their Premier League game last week.

Manchester City defeated Chelsea on Saturday to move 13 points clear at the top of the table; Pep Guardiola insisted that his team worked hard to deserve the victory.

Guardiola also recognised the significance of Manchester City’s 1-0 victory over Thomas Tuchel’s men but reiterated the title could not be won in January.

Kevin De Bruyne struck with 20 minutes remaining at the Etihad to earn champions City a hard-fought victory.

“But in January no one is champion. We can think about Chelsea, and Liverpool have games in hand. If they win it will be eight points and eight points in January is nothing,” the City boss told BT Sport.

“I want to win games if we deserve it, and we deserved it[against Chelsea]. I like football to be fair so, while I was happy to win against Arsenal, we didn’t deserve it. Winning when deserving feel better.”
