American motorsport legend and YouTube star Ken Block has died in a snowmobile accident in Utah at the age of 55.

Block’s Hoonigan Racing team confirmed his death in a statement on Instagram on Monday.

The statement read, “It is with our deepest regrets that we can confirm that Ken Block has passed away in a snowmobile accident today.

“Ken was a visionary, a pioneer and an icon. And most importantly a father and a husband. He will be incredibly missed.

“Please respect the family’s privacy this time as they grieve.”
