Anambra APC congratulates Tinubu/Shettima victory

The Anambra State chapter Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Basil Ejidike has congratulated the President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice- President elect Alhaji Kashim Shettima for their victory in just concluded general elections.

Ejidike also commended President Muhammadu Buhari and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for conducting the most credible elections.

The party chairman who stated  this while briefing newsmen at the party’s secretariat in Awka, described the victory of the party as overwhelming and will enthrone new era and development in the country. 

“Let me on behalf of APC in Anambra State congratulate all Nigerians who have gone through the crucial stage and elected Ahmed Tinubu as president elect and his vice Kasima Shettima and other members of National Assembly.

“Let me also congratulate INEC and president Buhari for conducting the most outstanding, transparent, peaceful, fair and credible elections. You have restored the electoral hope of Nigerians and I pray it shall continue to be well with you”.

He commended the security agencies, of police and DSS for securing the state and its environs during the before, during and after election in the state.

“The issue of people being appointed just like that has gone in the state. This time around merit, hard work, loyalty to the party must be main issue for any appointment particularly for those coming from Anambra state. 

“For you to be appointed in any position we must accept that the person must have worked for the party. The person must have been a loyal and committed and that appointment must be based on merit. 

“This is the time to rebuild the party in Anambra state to further enhance the future political fortune of our party and of course on this note I want to size this opportunity to invite back those who felt aggrieved at any point, those who felt shortchanged at any point, whether at national level, zonal level, state or local government level. 

“I want to on at this point on behalf of APC apologize to anybody that must been been offended. I’m using this medium to invite everybody to come back to the party. So that we come gather to assist the president elect and his vice  to be able to move Nigeria forward” Ejidike stated
