President Muhammadu Buhari has directed the Auditor-General of the Federation to ensure that all outstanding audit queries are conclusively resolved within 30 days.
Mr. Buhari has also ordered that henceforth, all audit queries must be answered within 24 hours.
The orders followed the President’s displeasure on hearing that audit queries remained unanswered for long periods, sometimes running into years, under previous administrations.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President (Media and Publicity), Garba Shehu, confirmed the directives, adding that President Buhari was irrevocably committed to tackling administrative and bureaucratic corruption head-on.

The G7 leaders have told President Muhammadu Buhari that Nigeria is currently faced with serious problems.
The leaders of the seven most industrialized countries of US, UK, Germany, Canada, France, Italy and Japan regretted that Buhari’s government had to face severe handicaps from the outset.
Speaking in Germany Monday after President Buhari had presented Nigeria’s wish list to them, they listed the handicaps as lack of resources, mismanagement as well as lack of trained and equipped military.

President Muhammadu Buhari has said that in fulfilment of one of their campaign promises, his declared assets and those of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo will be released to the public upon the completion of their verification by the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB).
It is hoped that this process will be completed before the expiry of the 100-day deadline within which they said they would do this.

President Muhammadu Buhari will this Sunday (Sunday)leaves Nigeria to attend the G7 Summit in Bavaria, Germany.
The 2-day meeting is scheduled for Sunday and Monday.
