The Nigerian military said it killed a top terrorist commander, Abu Mojahid, on Tuesday.
The Defence spokesperson, Chris Olukolade, in a statement said Mr. Mohajid was among the terrorists that died in an encounter with Nigerian troops in the outskirt of Algarno forest on Tuesday morning. He said the terrorists had staged a daring attack on troops on patrol in the area. Read More →

After spending ten days in confinement in their hotel room, the two Aljazeera journalists detained by the Nigerian military for allegedly loitering around areas of military operations, have regained their freedom.
The release of the two journalists, Ahmed Idris and Ali Mustapha, who have been detained in Maiduguri, Borno, was said to have been ordered by the Nigerian military. They released in the early hours of Saturday. Read More →
