Second Republic Minister of Communications and chieftain of All Progressives Congress, APC, in Benue State, Chief Isaac Shaahu has lampooned critics of President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration, who are casting aspersions on the government for being slowly in its administration of the nation.

Chief Shaahu said this yesterday in a telephone interview with National Mirror in Makurdi, the state capital, noting that those criticising the Buhari government for being slow in its approach forgot so soon that the rot inflicted on the nation by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the last 16 years requires careful planning to be cleansed.

He argued that instead of eulogising the Federal Government in it efforts towards repairing the damage cause by the former administration, some unscrupulous people, who sees nothing good in others, are bent on running down the genuine initiatives of the present administration to improve the lots of Nigerians.

The elder statesman further reminded that barely two months of the present administration, we have started enjoying constant supply of power, among several others which were hitherto not visible, yet some persons are not satisfied with the tremendous efforts by the new regime.

he pointed out that the fabric of decay ravaging the country requires collectively efforts of every Nigerians if we are to succeed in rebuilding a virile nation anchored on truth and oneness devoid of corruption, nepotism as well as terrorism, adding that “all hands must be on deck to realise the much cherished peace we are longing for in the country.”

Emphasising the need for Nigerians with useful ideas that could facilitate reviving the dilated structures met by the present administration to come forward and submit their suggestions with view to inculcate such programmes towards boosting and also enhancing the condition of Nigerians, Shaau said: “If you have constructive ideas that could pave the way towards effecting new changes in the well being of the citizens, better come forward instead of staying aloof and vilifying government at all the times.”
