Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the South East have said that the crisis at the National Assembly cannot affect the fortunes of the party in the zone.

The party’s Publicity Secretaries in the zone, Ben Godson (Abia State), Mrs. Kate Ofor (Enugu State), Mr. Nwabueze Oguchienti (Imo State) and Mr. Okelu Madukaife (Anambra State), in Awka, insisted that the zone should not lose the position of the Secretary to the Federal Government (SGF) in Muhamadu Buhari’s Presidency, owing to factors related to the recent National Assembly elections in which Senator Ike Ekweremmadu emerged as Deputy Senate President.

They said they were convinced that the actions and moves attributed to the National Chairman of the party cannot but be false because their experienced and focused National Chairman, Chief John Odigie Oyegun, is currently engaged in the “teering the ship of our party to success with stability and discipline, possessing all its possessions and helping our president to succeed from the high office.”
