The gale of defections that hit the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) continued yesterday with prominent members of the party across the country leaving the PDP in droves.Gbemisola-Saraki

Those that defected yesterday include Senator Gbemisola Saraki, mother of former governor of Abia State, Mrs. Eunice Orji Uzor Kalu, Major General S.B.S. Biliyock, retired Gen Muhammadu Dan’Hanne Isah and others.
The mother of the former governor of Abia State, Chief Jerry Chukwueke were among PDP stalwarts the decamped to the APC yesterday.
Others PDP members who defected to APC include during the visit of the President -elect to Imo include Dr. Kelechi Okpalaeke, Chief Cyprain Amako, Chief Bethel Nzimako, Prince Charles Amadi, Chief Vitalis Ajumbe, Chief Rex Anunobi among others.
Former military administrator of Katsina State, General Lawrence Onoja defected on Monday in Otukpo, Benue state alongside other top notch members of the PDP in the state.
This is even as former minister of justice, Mike Aondoakaa (SAN) and Prof. Tony Ijohor (SAN) resigned their membership of the PDP at their various wards.
In Kaduna, about 500 members of the PDP in Southern Kaduna Senatorial district yesterday also defected to the APC.
The defectors were received by the Vice President-elect, Professor Yemi Osinbajo at a brief ceremony in kaduna.
Prominent among them are Major General S.B.S. Biliyock (rtd), a former member of House of Representatives, Hon. Ruth Jummai Ango, former Commissioner and Attorney General, Barrister Zakari A. Sogfa and 114 immediate past councillors from eigh local government areas of the zone.
In Kebbi State PDP governorship aspirant, retired Gen Muhammadu Dan’Hanne Isah also along with two commissioners, two serving State House of Assembly members defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
Isah had vowed to remain in the PDP despite the outcome of the controversial primaries that saw to the emergence of Gen Sarkin-Yaki Bello as governorship flag bearer.
