Ace comedian, actor and playwright, James Akwari Iroha, popularly known as Gringory in the New Masquerade comedy series would be buried at Bush House, his country home in Bendel Local Government Area of Abia State on May 5, 2011, the family of the late humourist has said.
Gringory’s first son, Akwari made known the burial date at Bush House while addressing members of the burial committee raised by Amokwe Item Welfare Union (AIWU), saying that the choice of date was based on agreement with the local leadership of the Methodist Church. Gringory was a Methodist.
He said that the family was overwhelmed with the outpouring of grief and sympathy from people far and wide through phone calls text messages condolence leers and personal visits.
“Gringory family would eternally remain grateful to all that stood by them in this period of grief.”
