The Lagos State Government has suspended the April edition of the monthly environmental sanitation exercise.
Speaking to newsmen in his office, Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Lateef Ibirogba, said the state decided to suspend the April edition in the interest of youths in Lagos State.
According to him, children will be writing their Common Entrance Examination (CEE) tomorrow (Saturday), hence suspension will enable them to move from their places of residence to the various examination centres in Lagos.
He said that for this purpose, the state government has lifted restriction on movement. He however, encouraged people to go all out and clean their environment.
“We expect people to make use of the opportunity to clean their immediate environment”, he said, advising the youths not to take to the streets to play football.
