Arrangements have been concluded by Kanu Nwankwo Heart Foundation in conjunction with Vikram Hospital India to organize health screening for Nigerians.

Coordinator of Kanu Heart Foundation, Onyebuchi Abia told Saturday Mirror that over 1000 people are expected to be receive medical attention during the programme while inspire nurses network are expected to be on ground to offer voluntary medical assistance to the Indian Doctors.

Abia said that the workshop to be held at Lagos State University Teaching Hospital Ikeja is for every one interested in knowing more about his health but particularly as a resource education programme for medical workers.

Permanent Secretary Lagos State Ministry of Health, Dr. Omodele Joyce Osunkiyesi noted that the aim of the programme is to identify those that have serious cases and proffer medical advice and assistance to them.

“The major objective is to identify those that have serious cases and they would be referred to India for treatments or surgery. A cardiologist from Vikram Hospital would also deliver lecture on Intervention cardiology and it is open for all medical workers”, Osunkiyesi concluded
