A new front has been opened in the crisis rocking Davido and his baby mama which has culminated in the in­volvement of Ovation Magazine publisher, Dele Momodu. The petitioned, addressed to the Director General of NAPTIP, through Gbolade Ajayi of SO Ajayi & Co read thus: “Our client was tricked into visit­ing the house of Mr. David Adeleke’s half sister, Miss Ashley Coco Adeleke with her baby, Imade Aurora Adeleke. After getting to the house, our client’s baby was forcefully taken from her and she was thrown out of the premises with the treat that she would be decisively dealt with if she ever bothered to return there. The PPPRA has vowed to sanction any filling station found flouting government’s directive.

The Assistant General Manager/Head of Operations, PPPRA, Mr. Victor Shidok, threatened that the agency would withdraw licences of defaulters.Farouk-Ahmed
Shidok, who led a team from the PPPRA to monitor the level of compliance with the directive in Abuja, warned that the government would not tolerate any deviation from the new directive.

He said the monitoring, which was simultaneously going on across the country, was done in conjunction with the DPR to ensure that Nigerians were not shortchanged.

Shidok stated that there was 100 per cent compliance as at press time in the city centre, but noted the team had yet to reach the outskirts where he feared that there might be challenges with regard to total compliance. Read More →

An appointee of former President Goodluck Jonathan from Ondo State, Mr. Oluremi Akinbobola, and some other members of the Peoples Democratic Party in Idanre Local Government Area of the state, have defected to the All Progressives Congress.Former-President-Goodluck-Jonathan

This came barely one week after the former senator that represented Ondo Central Senatorial District, Mr. Ayo Akinyelure, and the Director of the Technical Aids Corps, Dr. Pius Osunyikanmi, also defected to the APC.
At the event which took place in Idanre town, Akinbobola, who was appointed by the former President as a Federal Commissioner in the National Population Commission, said he and other former members of the PDP decided to defect in order to join President Muhammadu Buhari in moving the country forward. YBNL frontman Olamide Adedeji, has apologised over his outburst at the just concluded Headies awards 2015.

“I want to apologise to my fans for my conduct, including swearing on Live TV, at the Headies event some hours ago. Publisher Ovation Magazine, Otunba Dele Momodu, has disclosed that the intervention of the Orangun of Oke Ila, Oba Dokun Abolarin, stopped him from replying the insults hurled at him by David Adeleke (Davido) and others over the baby mama controversy.Momodu
In a recent reply to one of the tweets of his followers, Momodu disclosed that Oba Abolarin, ordered for his ceasefire from the parties involved.

The recent ruling of the appeal court with respect to the April 11 governorship election in Akwa Ibom State did not come to many people as a surprise. It may have surprised some who ignorantly believe the law court is the last hope of the proverbial common man, but not discerning Nigerians who have been following events from the time the people of Akwa Ibom chose Udom Emmanuel, a former banker, as their governor .Udom-Emmanuel

Certainly, the ruling could not have come as a surprise to the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) that has, since the election, explored every means at its disposal – conventional and unconventional, orthodox and unorthodox – to secure through the back door what it could not achieve through the main and infact front door. If anything, the ruling of the appellate court fell in line with the expectations of the ruling party that has boasted every step of the way that Akwa Ibom State would, at the end of the day, be grabbed to its kitty, regardless of what people of the state say or vote.
