The remains of Al-Merreikh of Sudan forward, Endurance Idahor, will be buried on Friday in Benin, Edo State.

The former U-23 national team player slumped in a league match between his club and Al-Amal on Saturday in Omdurman and later died in an ambulance conveying him to the hospital.

His remains were flown from Sudan to Nigeria on Tuesday and taken to Benin.

On Wednesday, the 20 clubs in the Globacom Premier League joined in mourning the former Dolphins player as they observed a minute silence before the games at the various centres.

The clubs were instructed by the Nigeria Premier League on Tuesday to observe the silence and each player wear a black armband during the Week 23 matches.

An official of the NPL told our correspondent on the telephone on Wednesday that the football body’s decision was aimed at sympathising with the family and friends of the late player.
