Adamawa State former Governor, Murtala Nyako, on Saturday, June 6, 2015, said that he has less than N2 million in his bank account, while denying allegation of stealing state funds when he was governor.
The former governor, who was addressing his supporters in his home in Yola, said that “All through my government I had no dollar account or any account outside Nigeria.
“I did not build any house outside Nigeria and my account is less than N2 million anywhere and I challenge anyone to go and investigate. So, I am not afraid of any investigation.”
He also said he had forgiven his political enermies.
According to him, “I have forgiven all those who had a hand in my impeachment. It was the will of Allah. Therefore, I put all that behind me but look forward to support All Progressive Congress government from the grassroots to the President so that APC can change the current ugly situation in Nigeria.”
